Moving Past HR As Compliance Cop
In this interactive program, The Honorable Susan Leeson and SHRM author/speaker and HR Magazine writer Jathan Janove will explore the connection between employee engagement and employment litigation, why good management, strong HR and partnership between the two is more necessary and relevant than ever, and what needs to change for HR to become a true business partner and organization helpmate. Jathan and Susan will address the following questions:
- What do the current trends in employment cases tell us about organization dysfunction and the U.S. legal system?
- What’s a three-step process to transition HR from “Compliance Cop” to “Compliance Coach”?
- How do you convert workplace conflict into something organizationally helpful vs. legal system supportive?
- How to manage your employees to develop an engaged and healthy workgroup?
